Q: What is the difference between standard poster paper and Synthetic paper?
A: Standard poster paper is commonly used material for large posters, it’s a 9pt paper stock, thinner than regular business card stock which is between 12pt -14pt. Synthetic paper, otherwise, is a much stronger material, also known as polyester film, it’s waterproof material with tear resistance. The synthetic paper could stand up to the harsh conditions of indoor or outdoor use.
Q: Do I need to get lamination for my posters?
A: If the poster is short term like a month or so, it needs to be changed constantly, it’s not necessary to have lamination. However, for the long term use or in a dusty or greasy environment. The surface of poster need to be cleared periodically, in this case, we’d recommend to have lamination option, extra layer of film will not only make poster thick stronger, also it makes poster tear resistant and waterproof on surface.
